Chris, our Founder & CEO, doesn’t look old enough to have been in sales and marketing for nearly two decades. But he has. And that’s a wealth of experience that he brings to the table.
After several years in sales and marketing roles, Chris opted for the entrepreneurial route in 2008 and founded what was then Just Consulting, a digital marketing agency, in Gibraltar.
His entrepreneurial spirit soon led him to establish and launch Your Gibraltar TV (YGTV) in 2011, Gibraltar’s first-ever online television channel, helping it to achieve 80k+ views a month within its first year. In 2014 the agency was rebranded as Social INK and operations were moved to London, with YGTV sold the following year, in 2015.
Despite the agency’s evolution, Chris has always remained focused on creating and delivering marketing solutions that consistently exceed client expectations. His working philosophy permeates the company: to always keep our clients’ best interests at heart.
In 2016 Chris made the bold and progressive move to transform Social INK into a decentralised agency, working completely remotely, which is handy because Chris is a huge fan of travel (he now owns a VW Campervan – the ultimate remote working accessory).
No matter where in the world you may find him, Chris continues to work daily on digital marketing consultancy and strategy for our clients. He advises and supports early-stage businesses and startups, facilitating long-term growth through strategic social media marketing, content marketing, and online advertising. Chris is also a digital marketing coach, mentoring individuals, solopreneurs and startups in need of ongoing one-to-one support. More recently, he’s taken up the mantle of podcast host for the All About Digital marketing podcast, interviewing specialists and experts from different areas of digital marketing, and exploring how businesses employ social media and content marketing strategies to help them thrive.
When he’s not busy driving Social INK forward, Chris can often be found either cooking up a delicious storm or enjoying a good meal out with friends and family. He’s a bit of a wannabe gamer too (some habits die hard).
As Head of Social, Anna has oversight of social media strategy, management, and execution for all Social INK and client channels. That’s a lot of social. So it helps that she knows her way around every social media platform and is really outgoing.
Anna joined the team in 2017 and works tirelessly behind the profiles to help our clients hit targets and make their businesses’ visions come to life on social media. She does this by combining cross-platform strategic planning with a healthy dose of creative thinking and a substantial amount of technical nous. The result is a glut of engaging, on-brand social media campaigns. Anna knows exactly how to make sure even the smallest piece of content sets the right tone for any business.
That’s not all though. With over a decade of digital marketing experience, Anna has a holistic skillset spanning email, blogging, copywriting, and web design, as well as all her social media expertise. If it requires a computer to make it work, Anna can make it happen. Although she has been known to use pen and paper too. Whatever aspect of your digital marketing, Anna can create content in the context of your overall strategy to help drive your business’ growth.
When she’s not being social online, Anna can be found socialising on two wheels. She’s an avid biker. Whether it has pedals or an engine, it doesn’t matter. It’s an excuse for an adventure.
As Head of Content, Gareth makes sure that every word counts. His creative vision transforms vague ideas and flat-sounding KPIs into engaging campaigns. His time is spent developing creative, strategic content across blogs, emails, ads, and basically anything that involves words (so everything).
Prior to taking up this role at Social INK, Gareth did a stint with the agency back in the “Just Consulting” days. In 2010, he joined Chris and the team as a copywriter and editor. Since then, he has been a major part of the agency’s growth, helping it become what it is today. Gareth’s work in blogging, magazines, TV and advertising campaigns means he’s crucially aware of all the pieces needed to make content successful. At every level. He also has over 13 years’ experience as a teacher of English and Media. Words are (figuratively) his bread and butter.
Gareth has the innate ability to cut through the jargon and the noise to help our clients understand the strategy — and their audience to understand the actual intention. If you’re ever stuck for “just the right word” or need a fresh idea to get attention, Gareth is the man to make it happen.
Just make sure you get your commas in the right place. Or don’t. Because Gareth will. When he’s not correcting the rest of the team’s grammar, he’s also a film enthusiast, gym junkie, and OMBassador for One Minute Briefs.
Sagar has over nine years of experience in IT industries and a degree in Computer Engineering. He’s our expert in web-based technologies and uses various programming languages and frameworks like PHP, Python, and .NET. He’s also experienced with Rackspace and AWS services.
Sagar’s technology expertise turns our website design projects into well-oiled machines.
As Marketing Executive, Adam will be creating authentic content that speaks to our clients ideal customer and building their communities. He spends his time creating content, designing graphics and maintaining social media channels.
Prior to joining Social INK, Adam was responsible for marketing and community management across 4 different recruitment brands. Having experienced marketing in house, he is now developing his skills from an agency perspective.
When he's not creating content, he can be found creating opportunities on the football pitch or at the gym.
