A blog about blogging!

Yesterday I went to a lunch & learn on how to write blogs. Chris was the one who told me about it, it was quite helpful really because I feel like I am starting to write about the same things so going to a lunch and learn all about blogs is quite helpful. I started to write this blog as I sat in the session with the host Hana Jay. She asked the class to write a short blog about anything that comes to mind, I thought writing a blog about blogging could be interesting. The class was filled with people who wanted to start blogging, already have their own blogs and some who wanted to make sure they were doing it right.

Hana Jay was explaining techniques she's used to make her a better writer. There was one that really stood out to me, it was called the "Pomodoro Technique”. Hana explained the technique to us and how she uses it anytime she works from home. Pomodoro technique is.

A time management method developed by Francescco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks."

I think this technique could also help me as I get distracted very easily when I work from home. I get my work done but it is very easy to get distracted. I can not blame anybody but myself. so I found that useful. Another technique Hana shared was

write your blog like it is a letter to a friend. (That everyone can read)

So it is fine to write any of your blogs with your own humour but just make it so others can relate to it. For me, this is definitely something I try to do with my blogs I aim to make the readers feel engaged. I like to get the feedback from my readers. When I was first told I would be writing blogs twice a week, I thought who will even read it, why is my story interesting to others. But once I started getting feedback and readers started sending their regards I found it very touching.

Before I finish this. If any of you guys write blogs could you please tweet them to me @NathanJ94_ I would love to read your guy's blogs and to see your style of writing. Thank you guys for reading another Blog. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Take care.
