I’d be interested to know how many of you are currently using Facebook advertising to help boost your page, your content and to drive traffic to your site?

It’s such an amazingly powerful tool and we’ve been working with it for year now to help us and our clients get bigger and better results online. There are so many different ways to use it. So I thought I would detail a few of them below so as you can see just how useful it can be.

  1. Creating engagement with your audience. If you have a Facebook page, you may well have built up some numbers over the years. Maybe you have 500 likes, maybe you have 10,000. Either way, it’s no good to have the number, but not have any engagement. Sometimes it feels like there is tumble weed rolling across your page. Welcome to Boosted Posts. You can push your content to make sure that everybody that follows your page sees your content. Or how about all of your audience, and there friends? Worried about not getting the right people for your product? Narrow it down. Do a boost to your audience and their friends, in a specific location, within a specific age range. BOOM! You can use this to start driving engagement today!
  2. Driving traffic to your site. There are a couple of ways you can do this on Facebook. You can either post links on your Facebook page when you post your next update. This is a nice way to do it, it looks interesting and as long as your site is setup properly, Facebook will automatically pull the relevant image from your site and the header/description. You can then push this post as above, or alternatively, you can create adverts, to specific targeted audiences to help you drive traffic to that new product/service/blog post. Just like that, you’re blog posts are now being read by someone!
  3. Re-targeting your website audience. This one is a favourite of mine. Especially if you are selling a product or service. People that have taken the time to visit your site, or a specific page on your site, will now suddenly start seeing adverts for that particular product, service, etc. Even if you’ve never done this for your business, you’ve all seen it before. It’s a favourite for the big boys like Amazon, Booking.com etc. You looked at that one product, just once, suddenly it’s all over your facebook feed. There is no getting away from it. This system works! This WILL get you sales! Give it a go!

That’s 3 ways to use the FB advertising platform. But as and when you get the hang of it, you can setup more complicated systems for yourself. So for example:

A. Build your audience on your FB page, by boosting ALL your content to your audience and their friends (within your demographic)

B. Send traffic to your website, a specific product/service landing page.

C. Monitor how many people buy on their first visit! (realistically probably not that many)

D. Set up retargeting adverts, JUST aimed at the people that have already seen that particular page.

Boom, watch and see just how much of a difference it makes on a second/third or maybe even fourth visit to your site.

We’re looking at running a course, just on Facebook for Businesses! Learning how to run a FB page in the best possible way, understanding how we can create REAL results using their amazing advert targeting system, which is unique in the market place today. Would you be interested in getting involved in something like that? Let me know:
