The item or service that you give away should be something that your company actually provides. This ensures that your target audience will be attracted.
One of the things that you should never do is buy your audience. Do not pay for fake fans and followers, as this will do nothing for you. Even though it might look as though you have 20,000 followers on Twitter, they aren’t real. You need to grow your audience organically. The best way to do that is with good, sharable content, and by engaging with the people on the site. After all, it is supposed to be social.
Do Not Lose the Audience
Once you start building an audience that keeps growing, you are halfway home. You also need to make sure that you retain the audience. If you start posting only marketing messages or you do not ever interact with the followers, chances are they will stop following you. Keep doing the same type of things that you did when you were building your audience, and it should keep all of your fans and followers happy.
